Blogmas 2024: 12/14

Today was such a nice quiet day at home ... I got to stay home all day long!!!!

(This ornament makes me smile and it makes me sad.  It reminds me of my mama and the Charlie Brown like Christmas tree that she would put up every year.  We all gave her such a hard time about it that she traded it in for one that wasn't quite so forlorn looking.  Now that's she's gone, it's a reminder of the good times we had with her and her tree and at the same time it makes me sad that she's no longer with us.)

I started the morning watching a Christmas movie.  It was one of those Hallmark Christmas kind of movies (that wasn't on the Hallmark channel) that I don't usually watch.  Hubby doesn't care for them, and since we watch TV together, I don't insist.  He is so good to me in so many ways this is a small thing I can do for him.  Anyway, I was already into it when he got up (the movie was on really, really early) so he busied himself doing other things until it was over.  After 44 years of marriage, I still think he's a keeper!

After the movie, I worked on this week's Grandma Claus's treat for the little ones at church.

Finished our Christmas cards to be mailed and got them in the mail.

Finished our Christmas cards that we hand deliver at church.

Updated my Christmas notebook with all the things we've done and are doing this holiday season, right down to the quote I wrote in our Christmas cards.  I like to find a good quote; hand write it in the card and then add any personal notes.

My Christmas notebook is my secret weapon on pulling off a successful holiday season!

It was a steady busy day filled with lots of Christmasy things!!!

Just the kind of day I like this time of the year!

That's all for Blogmas day 14 ...  I'll meet you back here tomorrow for day 15 of Blogmas 2024!
